• To search by scientific name, enter a Genus or a genus and species.
Genus and Species required for Thumbnails search. Genus alone OK for List search. To find a scientific name from a common name, use the
Plant Name finder under the Database Search menu.
• To search by Common Name, enter any part of a common name. Do not enter Genus, or Species.
An entry in the Common Name text box overrides genus and species entries
which will be ignored.
• Select Thumbnails or List (photos can be viewed from either)
• Click the Search SDNHM Photos button
to see a list of the available photographs or a set of thumbnails.
